Latest Happenings

Programming
A number of changes have been made to the station's programming.
Spirit of the Huon with Pastor Manfred has moved from Mondays to Fridays 12-1pm.
A Community Radio Network program called Homepage (latest IT news) is now heard from 12 - 12.30pm Mondays.
Our youngest volunteer, DJ Butters, now has his very own show - Everybody Knows It's Butters aired on Mondays from 4-6pm. He plays all sorts of rock music. And then - (big fanfare) DJ Awesome presents This is Rock from 6-8pm.
There has also been a shift around of programs on Saturdays. Tracey now starts her Easy Street program at 3pm and goes through to 6pm when the airwaves are blasted by the return of DJ Rock which his distinctive punk rock program, Punk Out V2.0. Then DJ Awesome takes us through to 11pm with his Saturday Night Delights.

Grants
The CBF Transmission Subsidy Grant has been applied for and an application for a one-off small equipment grant is in progress.

Sponsorship
Susan Westcott continues to secure all important sponsorship for the station. Without this, the station would virtually cease to exist. So... if you know of some business or not for profit organisation that requires radio promotion, please contact the station (03 6297 1706) and we'll put you in touch with Susan who will broker a deal.

Events
A big thank you to Chris and Pam Rawlings for their organisation of the two Outside Broadcasts
held recently. The station is endeavouring to get out there in the community especially our new broadcast area, Kingborough. The team of dedicated volunteers and presenters and tech guys assisted in making these OBs happen.

Technical
Graham is working hard to get the Network Accessible Storage (now to be know as NAS) up and running. Basically this unit will store all the station's music. It also has a backup drive should anything go wrong. It also means that any station computer with a decent sound card and Zara installed and set up could be used to run the station at a few minute's notice. Cool huh??
A new version of Zara is being trialled and will be installed soon. This means presenters WILL need some basic training but it is very similiar to the current program in use.

Website
Our webmaster, David, has done an excellent job in re-vamping the website. Check with him if you are a presenter and wish to display your playlist/write a blog etc.
We would LOVE some feedback re the website.

Library
Recently President David contacted all members re their thoughts about changes to the music library. Please give him some feedback.
